Red face There must be a story to go with this photo...

Anyone know what it is, and more importantly, do you care to share with the rest of us?

Taken on or around July 23rd 2009.

Where was that? Wherever I've seen #020 there has at least been enough care involved to put something under the car to protect it

Re: There must be a story to go with this photo...

Come on now - who's really going to have the proper sized wheel nut and the ability to undo one fitted at ~600 Nm?

Greg-
Appears to be at a restaurant with a name that ends in Sweet that serves lunch Mon-Fri. The 23rd of July was a Thursday.

The only caption with the photo was "McLaren Fail". I have asked the photo taker to email me with any details he may recall. Hopefully...

I thought that, but then thought why steal just the one, why the rear one, and why not the whole car?

BTW Erik, where did you get that wheelnut from?...

Re: There must be a story to go with this photo...

It looks like the wheel / tyre did no damage to the rear of the car; a deflation of the tyre would normally necessitate a breakdown lorry to take the car to get a new one fitted.....unless it is outside a tyre shop [that's next to a cafe / restaurant] waiting?........

Incredible pic !

My guess, the wheel go out with moderate velocity and he stopped in front of this restaurant or someone stole one or two rear rims...
