omg plz help

ok got alot of different suggestions so here is what i did pulled intake and put ne gaskets in cleaned everything i coated all my gaskets with red high temp rtv plut it all together check engine light on it runs hot it has to be wide open to start


you can baby it down to 800 rpm and it runs better than ever it also pours coolant out back right side of intake manifold.did i do somthing wrong?if i take it all apart to i have to buy new gaskets and rtv?

any help very much appreciated

I put my stuff on dry to avoid having areas that the sealant cures quick on/lumpy.
Also, when you put gaskets on, you need to check that covered passages are covered and open passages are open. Compare against the old gasket.

wow i made i huge dummy move had put em on upsidedown.truck runs great and appreciate all hellp......and now the saga continues randomly my oil pressure light comes on it used to do it at low stalling rpm but now stays on occasionaly and i did end up hearing it knock.im scared i gotta drop the oilpan the valley under the intake was covered with burt flaky oil and dirt

It's kinda troublesome but you do need to see if the oil pump screen is blocked.

If you are going to drop the oil pan anyway you might want to consider installing rod and main bearings and an oil pump. all this costs about $130.00 if the crank is not scarred yet. If you let it go it will probably spin a bearing and ruin the crank costing much more later.
