2002 Trailblazer windshield wiper problem

My windshield wipers work fine when on the highest setting but when I set it to low or intermittant they are very hesitant and almost seem to shake across the window. In other words its not very smooth like it is on the high setting. This is the same whether it is raining hard or just a light drizzle. Any guesses of what is wrong? Ive replaced the windshield wipers themselves so its not that. Im guessing something wrong with the motor but not sure.

Needs a new motor, there was a recall for this as water got on the motors, check on this, with a dealer.

maybe vinegar and water mix an a good windshield cleaning may make your wipers run smoother

Re: 2002 Trailblazer windshield wiper problem

Hi,
I had the exact same problem and the recall had been done which was only sealing wiring. To fix the problem I had to purchase a wiper motor/transmissinon assembly and that fixed it. Since then I have found that this is a common problem with Trailblazers and Envoys.
