2004 misfire

2004 p71 is misfiring 3 5 and 8 and my code reader is come up with a nuther code ignition coil c primary/secondary circuit malfunction what is that it has new coils and plugs

Coil c is cylinder 3. A is 1, B is 2, and so on. Are all the coils and plugs new? Did you use quality parts? Like Motorcraft or Autolite? Ford does not like cheaper ignition parts.

I hate to say it, but to really diagnose it, it needs to be put on a scan tool with graphing capability. have you thought about maybe a partially clogged injector also? Problem is, there is just guessing going on. Are there any other codes? If the EGR were at fault the LTFT and STFT would be off.

The fuel trims should be close to 0%. They both range from +/-25%. Usually, it's acceptable to be within +/-10%.
