Rebuilding the Engine

Not say'n that I'm going to do this or anythign, but what are the times and how difficult is it to pull and rebuild and reinstall the engine on a 98-99 gsx?

if you dont know ablut engines dont do this!
give it to an experienced machanic to do cause if u re-build the internals and the spec are off it can and will screw up the whole engine timing cause the engine 2 preform poorly.

parts you might want 2 chang is the pistons and connecting rods, lower compression, hone the block and fix the crank walk if u have any....

i would leave it 2 a expert tho..

You don't have to pull the engine to rebuild it, just the oil pan and head. Compression is already 8.5:1, leave it or go to 9:1. The best would be to swap to a 6 bolt motor completely.
