VW Buggy

After flocking the interior, I could add some PE pedals and put the parts together.

I added the engine in position and finished the suspension in front and rear.

Some extra carwax on the body, and lost but not least.... the flag I shortened it a bit because it was extremely long

Today I made some pics. Hope you like it.

So that's it!

The kit is a bit awfull to build. It contains a few parts, the chrome is like sh*t, the fittment is also very bad, lack of detail, flash on every single part..... do I need to continue? The only good thing about this kit is it's basicly a VW
I chose this kit because I had some problems with other projects, so this one had to motivate me All I can say is, this kit made me happy!

The best part for me is the paint. Since I use an airbrush, painting my models is completely new for me. Some of you maybe remember how I used my spraycans, and saw how shiny it always was. With the airbrush I had to make a completely new start. Now using zero paints it really makes me happy. This is so far my favorit paint to use, and even I'm still a beginner with an airbrush and with this paint I really love the result of the paintjob on this car. Off course the polishing also brings more shine to it

Where necessary I added some extra details. Here's a list of parts I used:

- RVS home made exhausts
- Aluminium intake piping
- RVS oilcap (knob from a wathc)
- Mr. Model wirelooms
- MFH yellow sparkplug wiring
- Playboy bunny's decals (from some kind of airplane kit..... :?: )
- Goodyear decals
- Home made antena
- Crazy Modeller grey flocking
- Mr. Model PE footpedals
- Fujimi sports steering wheel
- Scale Production Playboy magazine
- Crazy Modeller metall VW logo

Soon I'll start another buggy with a VW engine. When they are both completed, i'll make little groundplate for them....

Kris.

Re: VW Buggy

Wish I had one on my shelf. Especially like the Playboy theme & the finish came out great.
