On code 128 install a good stat.
Code 418 is relay circuit.

Check all wiring to and from it.
The good repair manuals have a repair flow chart for that 418 code.
The VCM grounds relay to turn on injection pump.
Is the VCM grounding it when it should turn on?
Or does relay turn it on when relay is grounded.
Also check all fuses.

Check in the s-10 how to forum on air injection pump.
