|
O2 passport grinds going into high gear
Tring to help a friend. Her husband put the transfer case in low gear ( I have no idea why?) and now it will not go in high. It starts to go in then pops out and grinds like crazy. Truck has 140k on it and she just bought it. It was working fine before he shifted it. My guess is a bad syncro in the transfer case or bent fork. Any thing common?

Are you shifting with the truck stopped and transmission in neutral?

This might be a better place to ask your question. I'm not terribly familiar with the inner working of our transfer cases.
