O2 simulator,

My converter pluged up, so I removed the guts. The power is much better, but the check engen light went on. can I get a O2 simulator some where. Or what is my best option?

Best to replace the cat.
Removing guts is a illegal operation if you are going to drive on a federal funded highway or road.
Also later model engines will not run right if cat removed or gutted.

Re: O2 simulator,

I agree with MT 100%. In addition, a simulator will work fine... until the ECM runs the monitor on the converter. Then the SES light will come on and set P0420, guaranteed! Like MT said, best to replace the converter to avoid problems....and a stiff fine on top of the cost of a converter if you get caught.

Re: O2 simulator,

Casper electronics used to make O2 simulators but I believe the EPA put a stop to that. The better and more environmentally responsible way to get the same performance gain would be to install a universal high flow converter from Catco or Magnaflow.
