engine swap?

what would be a good engien sway for the 93 and up RX-7s? the rotoary engien runs way too hot, and needs to be replaced every 45,000 miles or so

would an Sr20det? be a good one, the HP is about the same, its turbo, its 2 liters instead of 1.3, rear wheel drive, also, it would run a lot cooler, and should be mroe reliable, what do you guys think?

this is for a realistic thing, dont say, putting in a supra engine or some thing like that, cuz that owul dbe way tooooooo expensive

hmm...
putting any other motor in it at all would be expensive.

there's already an rx7 with the 2jzgte swap in it.
it's yellow.

if you modify your cooling and oiling system, you're not going to have the "super hot" motor thing going on.

the cars are under cooled from mazda directly to save weight.

add some more to it, keep it well tuned, don't overboost, and the rotary will be your best friend.

you meen rebulid the engine? You really dont have to rebulid the engine until like 80-100k, even more if you take care of it and if its running strong. After it's been rebulit, its almost like a whole new engine. If you take care of it by changing the oil, air filter, plugs, coolant and reving upto the red line once in a while, it should run real well. If you really dont want a rotary engine, buy another car, thats all i can say. I'd get an Integra GS-R, those are the shizniz besides RX-7's of course =)

i would buy an RX-7 before i would buy a supra, i have more of a chanve to buy an RX-7 for how cheap they are, my friend, thats addicted to them, put down buying a 94 RX-7, for$4000 USA, but it had no motor, so thats why im asking. ive seen that a new motor all together costs about $3-4000. so i was just wondering.

Theres no such thing as a JDM 3 rotor RX7 engine. The 3 rotor (or 20B) only came in the cosmo.
