Audi quattro rally Swedish 82 (Tamiya)

Hi guys. My new rally project. The winner of rally of Sweden of 1982 Stig Blomqvist and it Audi quattro.

I use a set of Tamiya and decal Studio27.It is an old set of Tamya, and details not so much.

As race winter, special winter sports wheels are necessary.Manufacturers of additions why that do not do the such.I took tyre covers from the military truck at 1:35 and have made of a steel thin wire thorns.



The engine is made very simply and I have decided to complete some details. In a bumper and a lattice has made cuts for air cooler.


Here so the engine looks by the car.

Has made connections for branch pipes of thermotubes for electroconducting repair in cars.

Further the generator and a turbo-supercharging radiator.

Cut ventilation lattices in a engine hood and has made loops for opening.


Also has collected the engine. Has added still a turbo-supercharging of which was not in the complete set.

What I want to say has already been said, Maybe I can think of a new way to say it....my jaw dropped when I saw the finished engine especially cuz I was only expecting minor progress

Thanks for your responses.
Has painted a body white matte TS27.The lattice should open together with a cowl. Therefore cut a detail from Tamiya on three parts.

Has painted details of a running gear and wheel disks.

Hello! Small progress. Has a little added brakes and has collected a running gear.



Has a little changed awful axes of wheels from Tamiya



Would put a body for this purpose what to look as there were wheels.

Great job so far, this is gonna look amazing.

How did you paint the yellow on the springs so cleanly... did you use the masking tape trick?

Тоо TurboGuru: I did not use a mask. I painted with a brush. All is very simple. At first I have painted a spring entirely in yellow TS-47.Then a brush black enamel XF-1. After the paint has dried up has simply accurately erased the superfluous. Enamel XF does not spoil a paint of series TS. It can be used in painting of different fine details.

I really like the idea and execution of the winter tires. It is indeed peculiar that none of the aftermarket companies has produced any.

Also your work on the engine is brilliant.
I just love watching your progress.
