So I got in my car after leaving the video store and noticed the tranny starting to grab hard. The tranny was just rebuilt a few months ago. When I got the car it was practicly blown had the shift selunoids replaced then 95 days later it completely blew. Is there anything electrical in the engine or tranny or steering that can cause these cars to have transmission problems? Or anything that can cause transmissions to keep blowing? It was a full tear down and rebuild that costed like $2100.00 it is warrantied but if there is something wrong that will cause it to blow again, after it is fixed this time I need to know so I can tell them to check for a problem. Any ideas please let me know.

Re: 02 olds intrigue 3.5 another tranny problem
Someone on the forum told me to keep the MAP sensor cleaned, plus replace the TPS. I did this over a month ago and my hard shifting has stopped.

Re: 02 olds intrigue 3.5 another tranny problem
I thought about the TPS because I had noticed some eratic needle bouncing at a cold start but it idles just fine and I never got an engine code like I did with my 1999 Intrigue when the TPS did the same thing however it did have hard upshifting too. I will definately check it out.
