hi, i have a 2000 ford taurus with the AX4N trans. when i first bought the car i didnt move, so i put a new torque converter in it, now it moves but when i push the gas slowly the tras acts as if i but it into natural, same as when im going up some hills (this only happens in overdrive) also when i come to a stop the car lunges forward, the harder i brake the harder it lunges( this is in overdrive and drive) and the funny thing is, is no codes are setting please help

When checking for codes are you using a transmission capable ss reader or the regular OBDII reader?

i checked it using a modis, so just OBD II

When you changed the torque converter did you also change the transmission filter??
Would be best if you could have the tranny codes by someone with a tranny capable scanner. This will help find out where to start. |

yeah i changed that filter, well i guess my best luck is to get that scanner then, thanks for your help

How did you determine that it was the converter that needed to be replaced to start with??
When you changed the filter was there any metal pieces in the pan and on the magnet?? I would check with a tranny place to get the codes read, unless you know someone that has a reader with the capablilty. |
