When I get a heavy rain and I go to start my car it acts likes a dead battery. I have to wait awhile for to actually start and when I do wait it starts up fine batt terms clean. Could there be a prob around the starter? or somebody told me it could be my spark wires?

Re: 92 park ave starting problem
When you say it "sounds like a dead battery"... what do you mean?
Because with a dead battery there won't be any noise ![]() If the starter is turning slowly, there would probably be a bad (ground) connection somewhere. Old ignition leads can give problems in damp weather but if this was the only problem, the starter would still turn at normal speed. |

Re: 92 park ave starting problem
You have a security problem, try cleaning the key resistor with a pencil eraser, or Q-Tip with alcohol. BTW, be sure the key is keep dry before using!
