Okay for larger tires?

On my 06' TB LT the OEM tires are 17"

A lot of the on-line places are telling me I can use a 20 or even 22" tire.

Anybody know the real specs? Like to go with new wheels that are 20"

I know the TB ss uses 20"

Re: Okay for larger tires?

Larger rims are OK - it's all about the tire size you put ON the rims. Keep the outside diameter to 30.5" or less and you'll be OK. OEM are about 29" There are many tire diameter calculators on-line to assist. You choose the width you want, like 245mm, and the rim dialeter, like 22", and then choose an aspect ratio (the middle number in the tire size, like 40) so that the outside diameter doesn't grow so large it hits the upper ball joint.
