08 Avenger aftermarket headunit installation
Hi All,
I was installing a head unit in my friend's 08 avenger and ran into an issue. He was told at the store that he needed a special harness with an adapter for the factory amp. I installed an aftermarket pioneer deck and the harness with the adapter per the specs. I'm 99% sure this is installed correctly. I could get music to play from the rear speakers but it was quiet and distorted. no sound from front speakers. My guess is that the factory amp is not turning on. My question is, how do I know that the car has a factory amp and or "CAN DATA BUS"? Any other suggestions? This is an 08 avenger 2.4L The Harness is a AXXESS CHTO-013 Thanks
