Transmissions?

Ok I hear all the time the venture/montana/silhouette are the basically the same. I am having the tranny problem and have an the opertunuty to get a venture trans. My question is will it work i have a silhouette priemiere which has tractionb control, are they same? Thanks

What you've heard is right.

The only difference between them is the trim (and there's lots of it).

Whether or not changes were made during the 10 years they were built, perhaps half way through, but I think my (now traded off) 2000 GLS had matching parts.

I don't remember if the T/C and the ABS was a standard option or not, (the 2000 GLS had both) I'll have to look it up.

Does the Venture have traction control?

The T/C works together with the ABS. Perhaps this MAY be problematic?

I'm not positive if you will have a problem in that respect, so please get an expert tranny tech to give you the correct answer.

If you can't get the answer you need here, stop by a tranny specialised shop and ask.
