Windshield wiper size? 97 LS Regal

Well the book said the wiper blade size for 1997 Regal is 22''...I put it on and it was too long for the windshield! Is the book wrong? And I was checking the correct make and model....But I tried a 20'' blade and its all good..

Also the unusual noise that came when I turned my steering wheel at low speeds ended up NOT being the power steering related, just something rubbing against the brake rotor, I'll find out from my mechanic...But the last garage that changed my brakes didn't do a complete job cause it interferes with the wheel..

Any comments appreciated....

I don't think the owners manual is wrong. We have 22" on our '99 Regal LS and they work fine. With 20" you'll lose some wiper area on the windshield.

Could you elaborate a little on this? I just can't imagine anything about a normal brake job that would interfere with the wheel
