System of a down? satanic?

Does any one here think they are satanic? i was tlaking to some one and i said some thing aobut them, and they were like, oh, you shouldnt listen to them, they are satanic. Does any one else believe this. i know that they are not christian.

If you do believe this, can you show some proof to support that? beisdes the lyrics to the song Chop Suey.

I don't see how a band that has a song about a pogo stick can be anything but satanic.

No, they are not satanic..

More bands should follow their lead and write songs such as Boom. Anyone seen the music video for it? The facts they display are very interesting.

that's where i first heard the song igor, i IMMEDIATELY downloaded it after that, good song. i dont think they are satanic, they just know what they're doing, they make good music, and the lyrics they come up with prove that they are very talented.

I think they're more like a political type band. The only band that may be considered satanic would be Godsmack. Their band name came from the song "Godsmack" by Alice In Chains. But in an interview with a magazine(can't remember which one) it was said that Sully Erna(lead vocals) is the priest of a satanic church. However, I found an interview with Sully and it says he practices Wicca(which pre-dates christianity) so the other one could have been propaganda.
Here's the link Interview with Sully

Yes, System of a Down is more of a Political Band, when I first bought the CD I did not expect some of their songs to contain lyrics like it did, talking about a bunch of political shit, and was very suprised. They are a very good band. I think the only other band that was about the same was Rage Against the Machine, but they are no more. I can't remember what band the lead singer went to though, I'm sure his new band is about the same on Politics.

I think people assume things too easy, like Insane Clown Posse, i bet most people think they are devil worshippers, I know I did at first, but I proved myself wrong when one day I heard a backwards lyric in their song and decided to see what it said, to my shock it said something about "Fuck the Devil..." And then recently I was talking to a die hard ICP fan and found out a little more about them, and found out that they were preaching this whole time.

Is it just me or most Mods are against the war...Then again more power to SOAD for coming out with a song like that

IMHO Rage was just a bunch of whiney guys who wanted something to complain about...there are other bands who are far more devoted to the "cause" then them...

I do beleive the band you are thinking of is Audioslave. They are the former lead singer from Soundgarden with the rest of RATM. An absolutely awesome band, and a personal favourite of mine. If you're wanting some samples, get I am the highway and Like a stone - 2 great songs.

As for SOAD, I love the band and don't think they're satanic at all. I think Cocaine is the followup to Chop Suey. They just don't take their lyrics as seriously as other bands...

Godsmack is fuckin awesome. I love all of their music, whether they are satanic or not.
