'96 LSS , starter location?

Where is the starter located for the '96 Olds LSS non-supercharged motor under the hood. My car will not start. The battery seems to be fine considering the lights and all the gadgets work fine but only makes one click when trying to start. Just happen all the sudden w/ no warning signs. I am guessing it is the starter. Want to find it to give it a couple taps and see if i will crank after that. ...... sound right?

Under the #1 cyl bank( front of car) engine below the exhaust manifold.
