Re: coolant in intake and cyl

Consider getting a coolant pressure test + smoke test on the Intake!
A compression cylinder leak down test on each cylinder will test the block & heads.

Re: coolant in intake and cyl

More than likely the upper intake is cracked in the egr passage allowing coolant to enter the engine, to check remove the throttle body and take a look, do a site search on this there is plenty of info.

Re: coolant in intake and cyl

Agreed...

You will have a bad upper intake or bad gasket...

You can get the Dorman upper intake kit for it and this will have the upper to lower gasket, and will have a new throttle body gasket already installed.. as well it will come with reduced diameter stove pipes for the intake so that the pipe is not touching the upper intake leaving an air gap between the Stove pipe and the intake... as well you will want the Fel Pro MS98014T aluminum lower intake gasket kit... Parts will run around $200-$300 total...
