Go!!!!!!!

I've built ,most of Tamiya's street bikes, but most of their bikes are racers, so for my first I chose this great color scheme.

Re: Go!!!!!!!

Really clean, only thing i can critique is maybe use another color for heat staining on the exhaust besides blue. Try maybe orange, burnt metal, purple.

But it looks topnotch.

yeah, i agree 100%, also, maybe use an alclad polished aluminum or a chrome for better replication of the pipe's metal color. i started using alclad and found that it really makes a difference. just some tips for next time, the bike really does look great!

Looking good, nice and shiny. I agree on the heat staining. I'm working on this bike also and I will be trying to do some heavy heatstaining. If you look at the pictures of those 500 cc 2-strokes, you'll see that they have extensive heat staining.
This will be the last stap of my built.

Re: Go!!!!!!!

The exhaust blueing was done with thinned Tamiya clear blue air brushed and was my first try at discoloring. Since very little of the pipe shows I stopped there. The next bike I'll post won't have any discoloring since only the tips show when assembled. The bike I'm building now has the pipes shot with Alclad polished aluminum (looks great) and I've fogged on some Tamiya clear yellow (looks gold). Next I'll do the blue again and try mixing Tamiya clear blue and red for purple. Aside from having the Tamiya on my bench it's not hot like lacquer and easy to work with.
