2007 Corolla Inside Roof Carpet
Is it normal for the inside roof carpeting to look like shag carpeting. My son is tall and has bushy hair. I guess it is his hair that is causing this problem. How can this be repaired?

Re: 2007 Corolla Inside Roof Carpet
The shag or fuzzy look is not normal and yes probably due to the headliner commiserating with your son's hair. Pulling at the lumps may reduce the shag look but it will cause more material to be pulled from the weave, making it still appear fuzzy. However, if you are good with scissors then you can clip the fuzzies close to the roof to reduce the fuzzy look. I might recommend a good electric hair clipper, but you'll have to be very careful to not poke the headliner with the shearing head.
If worse comes to worst, the headliner can be recovered with new fabric. A fair job to install, the worst part having to remove the headliner. In the meantime, he can wear a hat...or a hairnet. Good luck!
