Re: over heating

Did you bleed the system?

How about coolant level?

There is a bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing. Twelve millimeters wrench will do it. Unscrew it couple of turns until you see a steady stream of coolant without bubbles.

Close the bleeder screw.

Run engine with the radiator cap off and wait for the radiator fan to come on. Honda recommends the fan should come on two times. I have never been able to get it. I consider one time is enough.

Turn the engine off. Top off fluid.

Make a test run. Check the coolant level in the expansion tank and add coolant as necessary.

In bad cases, when you have problems with bleeding the system you may park on an incline nose up, open the radiator cap and just run the engine. Air may escape through the open radiator neck.

I hope this will help.

Good luck,

Sam

Re: over heating

What is your def of overheat? Do you consider slightly above halfway is overheat? Or is it reaching more than 3/4 way to the top?
