I just reached 15K miles on my '05 Aveo, and the manual says I should replace my passenger compartment air filter - but the manual doesn;t give a diagram or location.
Can someone tell me where the heck it is? Thanks. |

Re: Passenger Compartment Air Filter
I see it behind the glovebox, and the service manual says
Well, I weigh about 175 lbs, and I have gripped it and pulled it darn hard and A) it didn't go anywhere, and B) I'm feeling like if I pull any harder I'm going to break the plastic. Any advice? |

Re: Passenger Compartment Air Filter
It looks like it pulls up, off of the hinges. You could go to your local NAPA and ask them to print the diagram from their cabin air filter book for you.

Re: Passenger Compartment Air Filter
i know on my 04 optra the passenger compartment air filter is inder the dash on the passenger side. i saw this when i was taking out my blower fan. there is a rectangular shaped plastic by the fan that has two screws holding it in. remove screws , cover comes off and filter can be removed.. thats how it is on the optra .. aveo might be different.
