Suzuki Samurai JX - A hairdresser's Dream
A friend of mine organized two LHD Suzuki Samurai kits for me. Despite the other 28183717 kits I am currently working on i couldn't resist starting this one.
Most of you (Europeans at least) remember the 90's when seemingly every other hairdresser had a Samurai (and when it had rusted away a Vitara)? Yeah, right. The studio I went to as a schoolboy always had a bright yellow one parked outside, with the roof open most of the time. It was completely stock, apart from the godawful TrimLine stickers (a hot addition to any car back then. Yikes!). In memory of those days i decided to build an equally bright yellow Samurai - the way it could have been. It will be lifted, with "fat takkies" as we say in South Africa and some other goodies. I started with the interior: seats and steering wheel are from the Isuzu VehiCross. I removed the back seats and added some accessories from ScaleProduction. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope I didn't trigger any unwanted memories of weird hairdos from back then. Re: Suzuki Samurai JX - A hairdresser's Dream
You gotta teach us how to make those backpacks and suitcase!
I would modify the gear stick and hand brake levers between the seats, since it looks like you are planning to keep the roof open. Those pieces do a lot to the final model outlook. Can I see some straight shots of the seats? At first glance those look like the seats off a tamiya evo, a quick search on the net I discovered the vehicross seats are made by Recaro! I also like the party variety patterns on them. |

Re: Suzuki Samurai JX - A hairdresser's Dream
Audi TTTo fulfill your expectation, the steering wheel has been built with multiple functions. More to that, the model also has multifunction display unit, a memory system with a priority key, cruise control, sophisticated computer to aid you in your trip, radio/CD system possessing volume that is sensitive to your speed, and electronically adjustable lumbar support for the driver’s seat. To hold your beverages, the model also provides you with a holder. see this links http://www.easydreamcars.com http://www.easydreamcars.com/cars/Audi-TT-Coupe.jpg http://www.easydreamcars.com/audi/audi-tt |

Re: Suzuki Samurai JX - A hairdresser's Dream
Allright, after messing up the first paintjob I gave it another try this weekend. Looks better, even though not ultra-high-gloss. But being a second / third / fourth hand car that looks more realistic anyway.
Pictures as of now, will add mirrors, additional headlights etc. later this week. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() C&C welcome. |
