Question few problems help me out please

i just bought a 98 expedition eddie bauer edition with 160000 on it, 4x4 also. a couple things driving it home i noticed is that when it shifts into second gear there is a hop, kinda slams into it all other gears are fine. and the heat blower works but only on high and the rear heat doesnt work. What is up with it and how much to fix these problems? thank you very much

Re: few problems help me out please

I'm a new expedition owner myself and can't answer most of your stuff except one thing that seems universally true..

The blower motor (air stuck on high) is almost always caused by a burnt out "resistor pack". You'll have to google it or search here to find it's location, on most cars I've owned which had that problem, it was always under the passenger dashboard area (like, up from the foot area). I've never bought one 'new', just hit the salvage yards where their dirt cheap. May resolve the rear issue as well, not sure.? Did you check all the fuses, etc? Good luck!
