Toyota Avalon 1995 engine trouble
Last Monday I replaced the battery in my moms toyota avalon. Today she tried to start it (it ran monday after replacing the battery) and it starts up perfectly as if its fine but within 2 seconds the engine idles down till it dies, even if I hold in the gas peddle. as far as I can tell the gas peddle is completely unresponsive during use.

Re: Toyota Avalon 1995 engine trouble
A quick howdy & welcome to AF!
FYI, telling us what engine and mileage can help diagnosis. That being said, have these general things checked: 1) Idle air control (IAC) valve 2) Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve 3) Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor 4) Ignition coil (not likely...this either works or it doesn't, thus low on the list) Let us know how it goes and good luck!

Re: Toyota Avalon 1995 engine trouble
Thanks for the quick response! I actually got it figured out though it was the mass airflow sensor that had gotten disconnected.
