1987 Grand Marquis Alternator Options
Time to get this Forum going again!! I know the standard amp Alternator is 65 Amps. Can a 100 amp be installed without altering the wiring and relays? What is the greatest amperage Alternator that can be installed WITHOUT altering the wiring and/or relays. Thanks.....MB

Re: 1987 Grand Marquis Alternator Options
You can use a 130 amp from the CVPI without any problems. We install 200 amp in place of 130 without any modifications and have not had any problems with the swap. BTW, glad to see ya back.
