Warning Chime wont shut off

1999 Mercury cougar warning chime wont shut off. i found a module attached to fuse box called central timer control. i unplug this and intermittent wipers wont work or interior lights help

well this probly wont help but my warning chime doesnt shut off unless i really slam my drivers side door shut.

There SHOULD be a small box, possibly black with holes in it underneath the steering column, at least it was in my 95 Ford taurus. Might be similar to the cougar, but if you see something like that, it should have a snap-on plug with wires going to it, the chiming should come from it.

Ultimately? Follow the chime to its source and eliminate it.
