Exclamation 91 k2500! No start! Help!

1991 GMC K2500 5.7L V8 MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Recently it has been having trouble starting. When you go to start it, its like the clutch is not being pressed down. It will not even turn over at all. Has a new battery in it. Figured the starter was bad since the cluth pedal start switch has been replaced not too long ago. BUT I would like to know how to test the clutch pedal start switch just in case before I buy one. I hooked it up to my scanner but theres no info on the switch being open/closed so I need info on how to test the switch before I remove the starter. Thanks!

Forgot to write on here that you CAN roll start the truck and it will start fine. Wont start using the key and trying to crank it, but if you roll start the truck on a hill, it starts fine. Not sure if that will narrow it down?

Try by passing the clutch start switch with a jumper wire. If that doesn't work look at the ignition switch.
