"overheating" issue..... please help!!!!!

Thank for paying attention to this. Anyways, its a 2000 firebird coupe 3.8 5spd.

Got new radiator, twice, new thermostat, twice, flushed it, twice, fairly new radiator cap, new water pump, serpentine belt not sliping, temperature gauge stays at 209, 210.

Weird stuff:

Well the temp. Stays normal even though it steams as soon the thermo open, it seems the the return water backs up.

Heater does not heat up. And that's what I thought, clogged core. But should have it burst open and flooded my passenger side, I disconnected the in and out heater core hoses off, and water does flow.

Another thing, if it was a head gasket (which I hope is not), shouldn't I loose power, smoke, and see condensation on my oil cap?????. I'm stomped, big city time.

Even if I cancel the heater core lines, I don't think id should make I difference except here in AZ heater in your car is useless anyways. Again, oh, almost forgot, I did run it with no thermostat and it still did it.

Sounds like you may have air in your system somewhere. Im not too familiar with the 3.8 but you didnt mention bleeding the system of air. If there is no provision for bleeding air like a screw on top of the bypass heater line, try idling the engine without the radiator cap on to permit any air to escape.
