not sure
ive got a 1988 s-10 2.5 i think the head gasket leaking when i turn off the truck i hear a bubbling sound in the overflow just wanted to get another opinion on the deal getting ready to take the head off tomarrow

Proper diagnosis will save you time and money. Check coolant level, check operating temperature. Is the engine overheating? Is there excessive white, (steam) coming from the tailpipe? Pressure test the cooling system and inspect for leaks while pressurized.

Bubbling in the overflow jug sounds more like an overheating problem not a head gasket. Before you start ripping the heads off, do some checking and maintenance on your cooling system. if you still suspect your head gaskets, do a compression check first.

thanks all for the advice its not over heating or anything like that i did all the test that was advise and all told me head gasket plus i smelled exhaust gases in the rad and overflow so that too told me head gasket as i took apart today there it was crack in the head gasket so allmost put back together will post when done and let evey one know the outcome again thank you for the feed back
