1994 C1500 help

I have a 1994 c1500 and I just put a new engine in and I am hearing a noise from under the dash that sounds like a fan that I never heard before . It speeds up and slows down as the engine revs. it sounds like its coming from under the dash between the cassette player and the gas pedal.

thanks
Mike

Theres not really much on the left side under the dash. The fan blower is on the right side. Transmission maybe?

rechecked the sound, its more like a humming/buzzing noise and it seems like its coming from under or behind the gauges.
Thanks
Mike

speedo cable? Not sure it there even is one. I know on mine the other end is just a plug. mine makes all kinds of noises as well so I put in bose speakers. Now I don't hear them :-) Not the answer you're looking for. I'll look at mine later and see whats behind there

Check for anything hitting or rubbing against the firewall. Distributor clearance is tight in some cases and fuel lines run down there too. Make sure a plastic hold-down wasn't broken during install.

Holy cow, It turned out that one of the fuel lines was up against the firewall. Moved it away and securedit away from anything. I had some friends listen inside and outside and all of us thought it was inside. I wouldn't have even thought about it.

Thanks
Mike

I think I've got the same issues...

Where exactly was the fuel line?

Thanks...
