2000 venture 3.4 engine in a 96?

Any known issues or should it work? Same with the tranny? tia

Got some folks saying has to be the same year engine and even outa another tsport. Dude said they use software and suppose have a database or something of what fits what, sooo might not be a huge actual deal ..but dunno.

Seems like its really particular to the 1996 Model year... But that doesn't mean the engine blocks are different... Hard to say what the difference is..

You will need to do your research on the differences to see where they are...

For the Series II 3800's I deal with when you look them up all you will get is series II engines... What we do is search for the Series III 3800 engines and use those as replacements... The largest difference is that the Series III is a drive by wire where as the series II is not...

So the difference for your 3400 V6 may be something simple...
