95 PA battery drain

I have a 95 Park Avenue and have a drain that drains battery overnight. I have isolated the drains to 4 circuits. The PCM/VATS (what is VATS?) has a drain of 3.36 ma. Horn/trunk/horns has a drain of 3.2 ma. ELC/MSC has a drain of 7.8 ma. Now for the big one, the LGT has a drain of 1175 ma. These are all measured at the maxifuse fuseblocks under the hood. Also when exiting the car with the Key out the light chime keeps going until the door is shut. Any ideas? Thanks for your time!!!

Re: 95 PA battery drain

I don't know much about this, but VATS is the vehicle anti theft system. I had a battery drain on one of my old Lesabres that I never figured out and ended up installing a cut off switch and carried a spare battery in the trunk. It is a hassle to pop the hood to flip the switch though. Maybe the issue is in the steering column/key area.

My wife's Sable was continuing to chime after the key was removed. I shot a bunch of WD40 in the key assembly. It seems to have stopped it for now. If the key was left in it, it would drain the battery.
