There are three locating links for the rear suspension - a front to rear trailing arm, and two parallel side-to-side spindle rods. The spindle rods are functionally the same as tie rods and the rear one adjusts in the same way, so I would not say that they were incorrect in calling them that.
You can get these parts at dealers, rock auto and junk yards, depending on what's bent. It should be relatively easy to get a yard stick or other straight edge and climb under there so see what's bent. Got to compnine.com to get part numbers, or just call your dealer.
These cars should have four wheel alignments to ensure maximum tire life.
