autometer quick shift light on a fields vtec controller
I am trying to hook up an autometer quick shift light to my fields vtec controller. So that instead of the buzzer coming on I will get the shift light. I took out the circut board from the fields but don't know where to tap. Does anyone know where i can get the wiring diagram for the fields vtec controller (boxer series)? Or know where on the board i can tap.

without thinking about it REAL hard, I would suggest tapping into the same signal that the buzzer is on ...

That is correct but the buzzer is not a speaker
That is exaclty what i thought I would see when i opened the controller but the buzzer is a plastic device and is soldered to the circuit board. The problem is that i don't know which wire to tap.

that might be tuff .... look and see if you can follow the traces, one lead might go to an IC and the other might go to a ground
