2003 heater blower motor
I have a 2003 LeSabre 3800 engine. I have good heat just that the blower motor doesn't always run. I assume the motor needs changing but I have never done this before so I was wondering if anybody has a picture of the engine with a close up of the blower motor.

When I replaced it with one from Autozone, I took the old one apart. One of the brushes seemed stuck in its channel. Both were worn unevently and the commutator was rought. $139 IIRC. The motor is inside the car, next to the hump. There's a panel to take off with a few screws to give access. Disconnect the power connector. Remove 3 screws. Take off the rubber hose that ducts air back to the motor for cooling. Wiggle the motor and attached blower cage out without pulling the carpet away from the area even. Plenty of room. |
