Hood release

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue. The internal hood release isn't working and I need to get in the hood area to fill my windshield reservoir.

Any ideas?

cable stretched and needs to be replaced.

I think this is fairly common. I just have to have someone press down on the hood near the latch area while you pull the latch. Maybe spray a little AMSOIL MP or the like - that helps mine.
