Need help with tires! Help a girl out!

I have a 1997 Honda civic dx and I know you guys are probably tired of answering questions but I gotta ask anyway. I have 205/50 r16 tires now and the back ones are rubbing on the lip of the tire well when I turn or hit bumps and it freaks me out...so question is. Do I have wrong size tires or rims or what?
I wish I knew car stuff but I don't have anyone to help me...well i do...but they're idiots! lol

Consider a local Pepboys auto parts store, they will check your tires, breaks, shocks, and struts.

Re: Need help with tires! Help a girl out!

Well I guess I'm gonna have to take it somewhere soon. It's not bad if I'm in it by myself but if someone rides with me it rubs a lot. I've already had my struts done so the only thing i can think of would be the tires. thanks

no I don't think so...is it possible the tires are just too wide cause it looks like it's rubbing along the edge of the tire only...not sure if that matters

Re: Need help with tires! Help a girl out!

those tires are a little big for a lowered car, weird that they rub on a stock height ride.. where do they rub.. the fender or the body

Re: Need help with tires! Help a girl out!

mainly on the rear right side but ever so often both but the driver side if it rubs it barely rubs
and thats only with people in it if i'm by myself it doesn't rub unless I hit a decent sized bump then the passenger side hits a little
