Street Mercedes-Benz CLK 230 Kompressor 1/24 Tamiya (not DTM!) UPDATED 17-3-10

I planned to convert Tamiya DTM body to normal CLK 230 Kompressor. (not DTM-look street version like other) I used many spare parts from SLK Tamiya and S-Class W140 Tamiya. For chassis, I lengthened SLK floorplan since both CLK and SLK are based on C-Class W202 platform. (didn't take photos yet) and the body I cut fenders and bottom of W140 body to fit CLK body and reinforced with plastic card. Fuel door was rescribed. For the interior, I would skipped it since it is curbside model and I want to build it in VIP style with dark tinted window. I'd not to waste the time with almost invisible thing so I will let the space for accommodate lighting system instead.

Let the pics talk to you :

Thanks for visiting.

Wow, that's a lot of work you have taken on! Looking good so far. Is that a Maserati BiTurbo I see that you are building in the background?

Re: Mercedes-Benz CLK 230 Kompressor 1/24 Tamiya (not DTM!)

Wow this will be a huge amount of work! Can't wait to see more progresses!
There is one thing I would like to suggest though, I think the end result would be even more stunning if you try to make it as stock as possible, stock rims (or at least the SLK/S class) rims, slight blue-green tint (like the stock glass), etc. I mean, you have already took a giant step on making it look like a roadgoing car, why not take the extra mile and make it look like a showroom condition, roadgoing car?

Regardless of your plans for this, keep up the good work!
