1999 chevy silv 4.3 2wd...kick and bucks while accelerating

I have a 1999 chevy siverado 2wd 4.3l.When accelerating it wants to kick and buck....but not all the time.Also there are times when it will die while accelerating and occasionaly hard to start?Any ideas?

First check for Mass Air Flow Sensor (located next to the air filter/air box) make sure it's clean - handle carefully as you clean it. Second, check your fuel filter (replace it). If you ares sure the spark plugs and wires are good - looks like a fuel pump replacement.
