94 jimmy egr valve code
hey, got a 94 w/vortec, got a 32 when reading the code...'cause the light came on...
so i figured i'd need to replace the egr soon... today, it barely wants to run...very rough idle, hard brake 'til i'm moving a little.... what do i do???? should i clean the original first? and see if that helps? any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the 94 with the Vortec would have the electric valve. Take it off and check for a chunk of carbon holding the pintle off the seat. If so just clean it out. While the valve is off you can also start the engine and let the exh. pressure blow out any loose particles. It will rev up a bit and make some noise so don't worry about it.

i believe it's the electric one..gonna dig it out today and see what condition it's in...hope i don't have to buy a new one, they're kinda pricey.
thanks for you input, will post my results later today... hope i get it done before the snow comes!
