4wd light blinks when i select 4wd or 4wd lo or hi and a4wd

trailblazer wont engage and my 4wd light in the dash is on as well

Possible dash switch and/or transfer case encoder, no easy answer here.

You may need to get it put on a transfer case/transmission capable scanner and get codes.
If you got codes post back code no for more help.
