Ruff warm idle

I have a 97 metro lsi that starts and runs when cold but once it warmed up it dies and is very hard to restart. If it does restart it will not idle.

Re: Ruff warm idle

You could have a lek in your intake manifold. Possibly... As it gets warm and the metal expands it opens it up further causing this problem. Good luck...

doug2060 Thanks for your reply. I checked with carb cleaner. I dont believe that to be the problem.

Re: Ruff warm idle

Carb cleaner will not always catch this issue. Mine did this once and after everything I tried failed including carb cleaner test I completely disassembled the intake and put it back together with new gaskets. It ran perfect afterward and since. You may also have a blown head gasket. Have you done a compression test? Does it have an EGR? Are your spark plugs good and snug... There are a few things that can cause this.
