Re: Corolla 2008 help
First off, welcome to AF!
Second, please refrain from using "text speak" typing in these forums. It may be convenient for you, but ends up making it harder for everyone else to decipher and it also prevents the search engine from working as it should to help find similar problems in this forum. Thanks! The best way to start pinpointing the problem is to connect the car to a OBD code scanner. When a problem is detected by the car's engine control computer, or ECM, a code is stored in the memory and the "check engine" light is lit up. Even if the light goes out, the code should still be in the memory. Don't know where you are at so it is hard to make a guess off-the-cuff. But I would start with the intake (filter, MAF sensor), electrical (plugs, wires), and emissions control (EGR, IAC, and other valves). In the US, most parts stores will read your trouble codes for free, except California. Hope this helps and welcome again to AF!
