Question Rim fitment 1994 Formula

I recently decided it was time to upgrade the rims on my 1994 Firebird Formula. I have the 16x 7.5 rims on it that came standard on Formulas for 1994. I was told that all 1993-2002 16x8 factory rims would work and I purchased a set of 5 spoke aluminum rims off of a 2002 Formula. I received the rims today and the rims do not fit on the rear. The bore in the center of the rim is not big enough to accomodate. Will any other factory rims fit my car?

WTF?

That makes no sense.

The new rims should fit your car no problem unless you're a V6 with drum brakes.
