Unhappy Hood

Ok my hood latch was broken but i could still open it cuz it just layed on the hook and all i had to do was move the latch thingy, but i took my car into honda to get something fixed and they slammed it down but now i cant get it open. Has anyone had this problem, like i think i gotta get it open from underneath but i dont know what to do.
oh ya i have a 89 crx si

this happened to my friend, your gonna need two peeps for it tho, have one person pulling the hood up from the latch point, while the other is pulling on the release.

if that dont work, you'll have to get under the car and pop the cable from under the hood.

but since you just had the car worked on, bring the car back to honda and say after you got home you realised you couldnt open the hood.

i did tell honda that but they said theyd have to charge me to fix the hood because they cant let a car leave the lot with a broken hood. and i dont wanna pay to have them fix it i can fix it myself. But just getting the hood open is the problem. How would i get it open from underneath because thats the only way its gonna open.

raise the car up, and try to yank the cable with your hand, but its very hard and you will most likely cut yourself doing it, be careful.

but the cable isnt attached to the hood latch its broken off. so how would i get it up

oh, try having someone hold the hood down, and try to grab at the release from underneath the car, its hard to explain how to do this without you being under a car.
