Factory running boards

I don't know if anyone else has run into a bad situation involving the black moulded plastic running boards as I recently have but let me tell you, -20ºc and an impact from below from a frozen solid snow bank and well.......lets just say the snow bank won. The result? Passenger side running board is not only in half, but several other pieces as well . A call to the dealership for a replacement cost and well, needless to say I have 1 good drivers side factory running board for sale . Before taxes to replace 1 yes one, not both will be approximately $660 so that idea is the same as the passenger side running board, scrapped. Boy talk about getting . I told the guy that I didn't really need them as I am 6'5", but I guess the wife is going to learn how to jump in lol.

Re: Factory running boards

My AV didn't come with running boards. I bought a slightly used set of factory boards for less than $100.00 delivered through ebay. Be patient. You'll find some. Probably not just one side though.

Re: Factory running boards

For now I am going to leave it as is. I have removed both running boards and aside from the running board itself, it does not appear to have any other damage to the truck although I have not looked real close cause it is not like I can change what happened now lol. So far I like the new stance look, it looks like it sits higher and as I said in my previous post I am tall enough to not need them. My previous truck, a 2000 Silverado did not have any form of step on it.
